The best anti-wrinkle essential oils

Taking care of our skin with totally natural substances is the best gift we can give ourselves. They are soft, effective and help the skin to be well nourished and to regain its elasticity and ability to regulate itself.

Vegetable oils such as rosehip, pomegranate or argan work wonders on the skin, helping to keep it soft and smooth. But if we also add to these or other vegetable oils a few drops of an essential oil or a selection of essential oils, we can enhance the effect much more.

There are many essential oils that help you pamper your skin day after day and keep it young and beautiful. They can be effective in preventing the appearance of wrinkles and in eliminating them once they have already appeared. Among all of them I would highlight:

  • Rockrose essential oil (Cistus ladaniferus): it is a good healing agent.
  • Seville lavender essential oil (Lavandula stoechas ssp luisieri): the composition of Seville lavender, also known as lavender or flor del Señor, is very different from that of common lavender and has anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties.
  • Copaiba essential oil (Copaifera officinalis):
  • Green myrtle essential oil (Myrtus communis qt cineol): it is considered astringent and skin tonic, so it helps to close pores, firms and promotes healing.
  • Yellow immortelle essential oil (Helichrysum italicum ssp serotinum): it is very useful in the medicine cabinet for its anti-haematoma effect, but it is also effective against premature aging.

By combining these 5 essential oils we will have an effective formula to keep the skin young, as they act synergistically to achieve the following effects:

Thank you for watching

  • Firming the skin, thanks to the action of the essential oils of rockrose and lavender from Seville.
  • Reduce wrinkles, due to the effect of the green myrtle and the yellow evergreen.
  • Stimulate the production of collagen, again by the action of the essential oil of yellow immortelle.
  • Maintain proper hydration, in which copaiba essential oil would intervene.
  • Prevent oxidation, thanks to the antioxidant properties of Seville lavender and copaiba.

As for the vegetable oils that I consider essential for skin care, especially when we seek to prevent and improve the appearance of wrinkles, I would choose these five:

  • Pomegranate vegetable oil
  • Rosehip vegetable oil
  • Prickly pear vegetable oil
  • Black cumin vegetable oil
  • Jojoba vegetable oil

By diluting our selection of essential oils in these vegetable oils, we create a wonderful 100% natural anti-aging synergy.

The easiest way to enjoy them is by preparing a concentrated serum. Let’s go there.

Get the aforementioned oils and a dark glass bottle with a dispenser (30 ml volume). We will use them all, to take advantage of the effect of each one of them in combination with the others.

Put in the bottle:

  • 5 drops of rockrose essential oil
  • 5 drops of lavender essential oil from Seville
  • 5 drops of copaiba essential oil
  • 5 drops of yellow immortelle essential oil
  • 5 drops of green myrtle essential oil
  • 5 ml of pomegranate vegetable oil
  • 5 ml of prickly pear vegetable oil
  • 5 ml of vegetable oil rosehip
  • 5 ml of black cumin vegetable oil
  • 9 ml of jojoba
  • 8 drops of vitamin E (it is an antioxidant and serves as a preservative)

Once you have the mixture made, shake the bottle well so that the ingredients are integrated and that’s it.

Apply 3 or 4 drops of serum to the skin of the face and neck.

It can also be combined with the day and night cream, simply adding a couple of drops in our daily applications.
