If you wake up reluctant and with that unpleasant feeling of having to face a lot of problems, spend a few minutes doing yoga and you will be able to get rid of any negative thoughts. Going out with more energy, feeling physically agile and in harmony with everything around you, will take you very little time and will bring you great benefits.

The best morning yoga routine

The first basic posture of morning yoga cannot be other than the salutation to the sun. In fact, there are many benefits to doing the Sun Salutation every morning. Its own name contains the meaning of life that yoga keeps. We wake up and greet the star king because we are part of the Universe and its energy. Being able to say good morning to the sun is already the first reason to feel good.

Whether you want to lose weight fast doing yoga or if you want to start the day with a well-charged battery, we suggest more  gentle yoga asana to start the day  on the right foot:

I greet the sun

Standing, with the body and head upright but without tension, place your hands at chest level in a prayer position (palms together). Breathe in deeply as you raise your arms above your head. Arch you’re back slightly back, without forcing, noting the movement of your vertebrae. Return to the starting position or if you prefer, complete the posture by bending the trunk forward, trying to make the chest touch the knees but in a relaxed way, letting your head and arms hang.

Repeat the greeting 3 – 5 times and continue with the following yoga poses when you get up, ideal for meditating , increasing your flexibility and getting your positive energy “awake” and flow.

The tree

To perform this morning yoga posture you must stand in an upright position, separate your feet until they are at the height of your hips. Hands together in front of the chest (I pray). Breathe in as you raise your arms and also slowly raise your right leg until the sole of your foot touches the calf on the left. It’s about maintaining posture and balance. Open your elevated leg wide and support your weight on the opposite. If you master yoga, you can do the tree by raising your leg until it is at thigh height (more difficult to balance). Relax, focus on the asana itself, eliminating negative thoughts about possible problems that, perhaps, the new day will bring you.

Cat-cow

It is a yoga posture to do in the morning, ideal for stretching your spine and feeling your whole body. Get on the mat with your knees and palms resting on it (all four legs). Breathe in as you “pull” your back up, seeking the concave posture. Tuck in your hips and slightly tilt your head inward (chin to nape). Hold for a few seconds and slowly release the air while pursuing the opposite posture, that is, convex back and chin up.

The cobra

Continuing with the stretches, do this yoga posture to start your day with the cervical as new. Lying face down, place the palms of your hands on the ground, at the height of your shoulders and lift your torso without taking off your abdomen.  You work your back and the entire core area “opening” your pectoral muscles and releasing energy from within.

The cricket

Also called the bridge. This morning yoga exercise balances the previous one. Lying on your back with your knees bent, raise your hips supporting yourself on your shoulders without generating tension in the nape area. Breathe in on the rise and breathe out on the descent.
